Pass Me The AUX! Here Are All My Favorite Tunes

Music is quintessential to having a good day, bad day, or really any day. I don’t think there is a single day that goes by where I don’t listen to some form of audio content, either music or podcasts.

Music holds so much power. To inspire, to release, to relax and more. I think you can learn a lot about a person by what they gravitate towards musically. You might learn more about them through music than they feel comfortable to share on their own, depending on the person.

Today I’m sharing with you some playlists that I’ve made that cover an array of moods and situations. I like to always come prepared when I can, and that includes with good music.

Let’s just let the music speak for itself, shall we?

Feel like vibing

Feel like vibing is the best playlist for car rides, finishing chores or even school work if you can handle it. It’s great on days where you need something a little extra to boost your day but also won’t take too much brain power to interact with. It’s full of songs that you can quite literally sit and vibe to, with upbeat but mellow tunes to make your day feel light and easy. However they aren’t all mellow yellow, there’s a few sprinkled in there that let’s you rock out a little bit, but either way, you will feel good listening.

Top artists in this playlist: Cigarette’s After Sex, Her’s, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac

Feel like slowing down

Feel like slowing down is the playlist I reach for when I’m winding down in the evenings, doing my skincare or sometimes when I’m showering or cooking. Basically any opportunity where I want a slow moment supported by ease-of-mind, fun-to-hum-along-to songs. I suppose that some of them can be considered on the more sad side, but I have yet to find a bunch of really happy slow songs. The pacing of these songs is a lot slower than the vibing playlist, ensuring that you will match the pace and take a minute to enjoy each and every word.

Top artist’s in this playlist: Hozier, Lennon Stella, Troy Sivan, Sara Bareilles

Classy bitch

Classy bitch is full of all my personal favorite classical songs, you just never know when you’ll need it! I listen to classical music all the time. I don’t need to study anymore because I’m not in school, but I couldn’t focus while listening to songs with words so this was perfect…but also because I’m a dancer, listening to classical music was equally as hard. Either way we’ve got some good stuff in here to keep you focused, mellow you out, or wind you up with gorgeous, emotional pieces.

It’s on the shorter side at the moment, but I usually listen with Spotify’s new enhanced listening feature where it adds recommended songs into the queue.

Top artists in this playlist: Patrick Doyle, Tchaikovsky, Eric Christian, Dario Marianelli, Jean-Yves Thibaudet

Feel like being alone

Ok here comes the tears. Well, only if you need them to I guess. This playlist is for exactly what the title says…when you feel like being alone. It’s got songs to make you think of your first love, first heartbreak, and even the love and heartbreaks you’ve never experienced but maybe fantasized about. Let’s just say it digs deep and puts you in the moping mood to really let yourself sit in your feels, but also these are just really fantastic songs.

Top artists in this playlist: Tom Odell, Phoebe Bridgers, Lennon Stella

It’s the men for me

It’s the men for me is the exact opposite of the above playlist. It’s for when you can’t stand the thought of a man and need to rage it out in your bedroom while dancing in your underwear. Hype up, female empowering songs to wash-that-man-right-out-of-your-hair at any time, any place. Breakup blues are healed with this playlist full of songs to remind you why that man ain’t shit and all the ways that you are a badass. If you’re over men, this playlist is the one for you.

Top artists in this playlist: TRAMP STAMPS, Olivia Rodrigo, Ally & AJ, Selena Gomez

Feel like singing

Feel like singing is for all my musical theater baddies. It doesn’t have every musical known to man but it has my favorites. Sometimes a pop song just won’t cut it and we all know it, but listening to Phantom of the Opera as I dramatically fold laundry or walk up and down the isles of Target? That’s a yes for me. Mic drop for this one because musicals don’t need any more of an explanation than that.

Top musicals in this playlist: Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Wicked, Anastasia, Hairspray

Feel like dancing away the trauma

Kind of a mix of “feel like vibing” and “it’s the men for me,” feel like dancing away the trauma is simply songs that I really like to dance around to. Good beats and fun lyrics, these songs are all colorful and will add spice to your routine when you need to pop and lock it a little harder than usual. Some of them will even have you looking twice at yourself in the mirror with the moves you’ll inevitably pull out.

Top artists in this playlist: Avril Lavigne, Dayglow, Conan Grey, Alfie Templeman, Arianna Grande, Sabrina Carpenter

Party Jams

If I’m having a party almost any kind (maybe excluding a mature and aesthetic dinner party), party jams is the playlist that gets put on. It’s a mix of oldies and newbies, with all the right throwbacks to put anyone in the mood to socialize and dance. It’s also almost 6 hours long, so you won’t have to think about changing the playlist anytime soon. Even better if you listen with Spotify’s new enhanced listening feature that adds in recommended songs to the playlist to extend your listening pleasure even more.

Top artists in this playlist: Fleetwood Mac, Harry Styles, Queen, Brittney Spears, ABBA, Dayglow, The Weeknd, Dua Lipa and so much more!

Time travel

If you say you don’t enjoy old time songs, you better be lying. There is something so romantic and emotional about the old school styles, dating back even as far as the 1940’s. The playlist time travel includes many of these well known and well loved songs to enjoy while slow dancing with your loved one, cooking dinner or just need to take a step back from the 21st century. The songs are warm, welcoming, and fun to fantasize to.

Top artists in this playlist: Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Etta James, Billy Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Carpenters, The Andrews Sisters

I hope you all enjoy! Let me know what your favorite playlists are when you check them out, and feel free to send song recommendations my way!

Have a great weekend 🙂
