The Seven Deadly Players: Respect

The farthest I ever got was when I played by the rules.

Stayed right behind your boundaries. Made sure you knew I was always there, ready.

But of course, only when you wanted me.

The farthest I ever got was when I did as I was asked.

How impressive you thought it was when I kept my hands to myself

But of course, only making you want them on your body more.

The farthest I ever got was when I timed it exactly right.

You just needed someone to talk to, and I was happy to listen.

But of course, only making you think of me more.

The farthest I ever got was when I played by the rules.

Farther and farther still I go.

It’s a good thing that I am patient, at least for now.
