Hello Observers! I hope my absence wasn’t too noticeable…
In truth, I have been going through a challenging time, but I am finally starting to feel just a little bit more like myself.
For a while, the world was spinning faster than I could keep up with. I had decisions to make and none of them were easy, most broke my heart to be honest.
I stepped away not because I wanted to, but because I needed to, but I’m not really here to talk about that today!
Everything is new, I am more hopeful than before and the path forward is unfolding before me with every step, even if I’m walking blindfolded.
I don’t think I’m meant to know exactly what comes next. I think I’m meant to let the universe surprise me and make the next best decision when I’m called to do so.
A Series of Observations will be 2 years old next month. I can hardly believe that the time has passed so quickly.
Over roughly 730 days, 170 posts, and 5,500 words, I have shared myself with you. I have been brave, angry, hopeful, honest, heartbroken, confused, and inspired with you. There are many more words, through my novel(s), that I hope to share with you someday!
A Series of Observations is more than just the writing I share with the world; it’s a place where you come to escape and I go to feel seen. A place where we can explore what we know and what we don’t. It would be nothing without each of you who have subscribed and supported me.
I am so unbelievably grateful.
To celebrate our near 2 years, I decided it was time for the website to get a makeover!
I spent hours figuring out how to format every detail to reflect what A Series of Observations means to me now. To show its maturity and sophistication, but also its simplicity.
I also wanted the website to be able to change as A Series of Observations does.
Please go check it out here if you haven’t already! Leave me a comment below on what you think.
Secondly, Observers, we have an exciting opportunity coming our way…
I listen to a podcast called “Plot Twist” hosted by Soman Chainani and Victoria Aveyard. It can be found anywhere you like to listen to podcasts.

It’s an incredible resource for aspiring writers like myself. Each week we get to peek into the processes of the publishing industry and have an honest discussion regarding the challenges it is currently facing.
It’s worth the listen!
Both authors are publishing works this year, and to show appreciation to the listeners that preorder both of their books, they have been shouting out authors or people can share their friends work.
Can you see where I’m going with this?
I decided on a whim to send in my proof of purchase, and shared A Series of Observations with them. A brief story of why I started and where I hope to go.
I certainly thought, knowing how many people listen to this podcast, that I would likely never be noticed so there was no harm in trying.
Well, we got noticed Observers!
A Series of Observations will be shared on the Plot Twist podcast on April 2nd, 2026!
I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to reach more Observers, but also to simply be noticed at all.
I hope you all listen for it!
As for anything else, I’ll always take the chance to remind everyone about The Observation Circle.
I’ve had the dream to create a writing group for a while, since the beginning of A Series of Observations, and I have yet to find other Observers to join me. I want this group to be a place we can all find a creative home in, even if it’s temporary.
If you decide to take the leap, together we will…
- Explore who we are as writers and expose ourselves to perspectives we might otherwise not get.
- Tear apart our projects and put them back together in deeper, more meaningful ways.
- Create a community and have fun as we welcome new people and genres of writing.
Check out the page for the group and if this is something you’re interested in, please reach out to me!
All this to say, things are looking up Observers. I’m ready for more, aren’t you?
I can’t wait to share more with you all. Who knows what new projects I have in store!
Talk to you soon <3
